1. Who we are
My Private Theatre operates a marketplace that connects celebration hosts with independent partner venues that offer bookable private theatre rooms in Indian cities. When you book, you enter a service agreement with the individual partner that owns the venue; we act as the technology platform and payment processor between you and them.
2. Booking eligibility
To place a booking you must be at least 18 years old, be able to enter a legally binding contract in India, and give us accurate personal, phone and payment details. Bookings made with false details may be cancelled without refund.
3. Placing a booking
- Booking is confirmed only once payment succeeds and our servers record a CONFIRMED status on your ticket. Until then the slot is provisional and can be released after ten minutes of inactivity.
- Prices shown on the platform are inclusive of Goods & Services Tax at the applicable rate (currently 18%). Any add-on decorations, cakes or services are priced separately and shown before you pay.
- Each confirmed booking generates a 6-digit PIN on your ticket which you share with the partner at arrival to unlock the slot. Keep it private — anyone with your PIN can check in on your behalf.
4. Conduct at the venue
Private theatres are shared, insured spaces. When you and your guests use them we ask that you:
- Arrive on time. Slots start and end at the times printed on your ticket; late arrival does not extend the slot.
- Respect the property and equipment. Damage caused by wilful misuse — including but not limited to broken projectors, ripped seating, or setup that the partner has to remove — will be billed to you at replacement cost.
- Do not consume alcohol, tobacco or controlled substances inside the venue unless the partner explicitly permits it in writing for that slot.
- Do not bring in outside cakes, food or decorations unless the venue lists that as allowed. Most partners offer these as add-ons in the funnel.
- Photography and reels are welcome. Filming other customers in a different room is not — every guest's privacy in a private theatre matters.
5. Cancellations & refunds
The full details of when and how refunds are issued live in our Refund Policy. In short, cancellations made more than 24 hours before slot start are eligible for a full refund; cancellations inside that window are not.
6. Partner responsibilities
Partner venues are responsible for the accuracy of their listings (photos, capacity, price), for keeping the room safe and clean, and for honouring confirmed bookings. If a partner cancels a confirmed booking, we refund you in full and route you to a comparable alternative where available.
7. Prohibited use of the platform
- Automated scraping, bulk-buying or reselling of slots.
- Attempts to bypass the check-in or payment flow, including brute-forcing the 6-digit arrival PIN.
- Using the platform to harass venue staff or other customers.
Accounts found to be misusing the platform may be suspended without notice, with any pending bookings on that account cancelled per the refund policy in effect.
8. Limitation of liability
My Private Theatre is not responsible for the personal belongings you bring to a partner venue, for injuries caused by misuse of venue equipment, or for the acts of independent contractors (photographers, decorators, cake suppliers) that you engage separately from the platform.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make a material change we'll bump the "Last updated" date at the top and, for existing bookings, honour the terms that were in force when you booked.
